Butterfly Spooky Friday Photos

Some really scary characters!

Year 2 enjoyed tinkering (an important skill when learning about computers; it means having a play to find out how it works, what it does, and how they can use it), with the Bee-bots. They found out how to program them using the command buttons; forwards, backwards, left and right. Butterflies and Ladybirds worked wonderful as a team and had fun!

Decomposition (Helps us solve complex problems and manage large projects)

This was an unplugged activity in which Year 2 created hand clapping, hand tutting or hand jive sequences of movements. They broke the sequence of actions down into parts and in so doing are decomposing. They will be able to link this idea to breaking problems down when creating computer programs such as animations or games.

Butterflies Sports Day - wow looks fun!
