Term One
Design Technology
In DT we looked at seasonal foods. We had great fun making fruit kababs, seasonal tart and a fruit crumble using only seasonal foods. We also discussed how different our food would have been if we had made them in other seasons.
Term Two
Art Day
During our art day, we took texture rubbings to create artwork inspired by Max Ernst and Maud Purdy.
English
In our English lessons, we explored unknown vocabulary from the text through drama.
Term Three
Term Four
Maths
In Maths, we worked in groups to make non-unit fractions from chocolate bars.
Art
During our Art day, we created art inspired by prehistoric artwork. We used natural materials such as charcoal and paints made from spices
Computing
In computing this term, we followed algorithms to help us understand the functions of different parts of the computer.
Geography
In Geography, we wrote directions for a route around the school grounds using the 8 compass points.
