Term One

Welcome to Year Two.  Please check in here regularly to see what we are up to in Year 2. We can't wait to show you all the fantastic things going on!

PE

We have loved our unit on golf this term. We have learnt how to hold the putter and move the ball to the hole. We even had some "hole in ones"!

Science

In Science this term, we have been exploring materials and their properties. We had great fun investigating which material is the stretchiest and how some paper can be made stronger depending on how it is folded.

Term Two

Term Three

Art

The children enjoyed looking at colour and texture in this unit of art. They collected textures from around our school environment and explored tools that can recreate them with paint. The children created beautiful collages from the textured prints they had made. Take a look at our representations of Dover Castle.

Term Four

Trip to Dover Castle

We had a fabulous day at Dover Castle!

Maths

We really enjoyed using our knowledge of mass and capacity to make rice crispy nests.

World Maths Day

We enjoyed learning about different famous mathematicians in VIPERS and then solving the mystery in maths through problem solving to win a cookie!

Easter Bonnets

We were so impressed with the children's and parent's efforts in creating Easter Bonnets!

DT

We had great fun designing and creating a Ferris Wheel.
